Street Faire Cancellation

Street Faire Cancellation

The Lodi District Chamber of Commerce is saddened to announce that we cannot hold the spring Lodi Street Faire and will be cancelling effective immediately. While we had hoped that regulations would be lifted or loosened enough for us to continue, we made the agonizing decision to cancel for the safety of our vendors, community, as well as to follow the state’s dictates.

As you know, we postponed the original date in the hopes that it would make the Lodi Street Faire possible, but as California is slow to reopen and the Lodi Street Faire brings in 35,000 to 40,000 people to Downtown Lodi in one day, it is just not a feasible event for us to hold due to COVID-19.

As a courtesy to our vendors, we have three options to present. 1. We will allow vendors to transfer their May Street Faire registration to October 2020. 2. In the event you cannot make it to the October 2020 Street Faire OR you have already registered for both May and October 2020, we will allow a one-time transfer to cover your May 2021 Lodi Street Faire registration. 3. If you are unable or both of these options are not viable, a refund will be issued minus a $10 processing and admin fee. Please be sure to contact Karen Alvarez at KAlvarez@LodiChamber.com with your decisions. If you need the refund, please include the original method of payment, the name on the check or card used, and an address if you’d prefer we mail a check versus electronic reimbursement.

The Lodi District Chamber of Commerce did not make this decision lightly. We have to abide by state guidelines and regulations, but more importantly, want our community to be safe. The Lodi Street Faire will be back; it is a staple to Lodi and a traditional way of showcasing our town. It also has been about supporting local business, local makers, local vendors in their entrepreneurial efforts. It is our belief that a healthy and thriving business community reflects positively in our community. Without businesses, we would be devoid of the small-town charm Lodi is preciously known for.
