Recipe of the Week
Hey all you cool cats & kittens!! The Essential Lodi Certified Farmers Market opens TOMORROW, May 14 from 9AM - 1PM at our temporary location at 267 N. Mills Ave (First Baptist Church parking lot). And as with tradition, we are bringing back our Recipe of the Week! It's something our staff loves to provide- and we are partnering with some amazing guest writers who've submitted their very own recipes. First up, we are excited to share a recipe from Presenting Sponsor Sanborn Chevrolet's Kini Sanborn. We approached Kini about this idea and she jumped at the chance to showcase some of her family's recipes with our community. Without further ado, the recipe of the week is: Cherries Jubilee from Kini's Kitchen (perfect to top a rack of lamb or pork chops).
1 C pitted finely chopped cherries
1 tbsp grey poupon mustard
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp fresh rosemary
1/2 C Paul J Wines' red Camille's blend wine
1/4 C extra virgin olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
Combine ingredients in large bowl and add to a food processor. Puree until mixed well and then cover rack of lamb or pork chops for 8 - 12 hours before BBQing or smoking.
