Project Proposals for Leadership Lodi Class of 2019

Project Proposals for Leadership Lodi Class of 2019

Since its beginning in 1990, the Leadership LodiProgram has inspired and motivated Lodi area citizens, future business, and community leaders to achieve higher levels of leadership responsibility. The annual ten-month, one-day-a-month program provides participants with the valuable and necessary information to understand the complexities of the Lodi community. Class participants discuss, explore and learn about topics such as Leadership Dynamics, Government, Education, Law, Agribusiness, Economic Development, Media, Health, Not-for Profit organizations, and the Arts.

Leadership Lodi participants seek to enhance their leadership potential and commit their individual talents for future years to the betterment of Lodi.  Along with increasing their knowledge of the community, each class dedicates itself to the completion of a special project that benefits a not-for-profit member organization. They fund-raise, roll-up their sleeves, and do what it takes to give back to the same community that is giving so much to them during the Leadership Class Experience.
The Lodi Chamber of Commerce is now accepting 2019 Project Proposals from member not-for-profit organizations (CLICK HERE to download the application ), as well as requests to be a part of our informative session on this special day. We invite your organization to submit itself for consideration, for one of the following two categories:

  • Proposal of Project:
Submit if your organization is interested in presenting a project proposal to the class of 2019. This type of submission includes a brief in person presentation (10 minute with an additional 5 mins for Q&A) and may include an on-site visit (as determined by the Chamber). A prepared one page (2 sided if needed) Proposal Summary Sheet is also required for distribution for the class. The submission deadline is 5:00pm on February 14, 2019!
Once reviewed, organizations will be notified by March 4, 2019 if their organization has been selected. As a reminder, Proposal Summary Sheets will be due no later than 5:00pm on February 14, 2019 for review and acceptance. There is limited slots available please respond ASAP to secure your spot.
  • Informational Only:
Scope: Your organization is interested in providing details about your not-for-profit to the Leadership Lodi class as a way to increase their knowledge about your vision & mission and what need you meet within the community. This type of submission is an excellent public relations opportunity and is not considered a submission for a project proposal. You will need to provide printed materials for distribution to the class; you may also be invited to give a brief in-person presentation. The deadline to be included as an “Informational Only” guest is 5:00pm on February 14, 2019.

We hope you will submit your organization’s project for proposal consideration! While this process is different from what you may have experienced in the past, we hope this new method of capturing which not-for-profit members are interested in participating will streamline the decision making process for our class participants. We want each organization to have an opportunity to create a well-written and executed project proposal, as well as gain valuable exposure to our 2019 Leadership Lodi class.

If you have questions, please contact Karen Alvarez, Lodi Chamber Director of Operations at kalvarez@lodichamber.com or, Cherie Sintes-Glover, Leadership Lodi Volunteer Co-Facilitator at csintes@fmbonline.com.
