Message from the President & CEO

Last Thursday night, the Chamber had a big first. We live streamed the Mayor's State of the City event, which you can view here, a first for the 94-year old event.  We did have a live audience of ten attendees made up of several board members and sponsors.

During Mayor Kuehne's speech, over 100 people at home learned about what is happening now, what is just around the corner and will happen in 2021 for our community!  Did you see what is going on at Kettlemen Station?  WOW it is big!  And how did Gary’s Signs helping maybe hundreds of Lodi be safe during the threat of COVID 19!  And of great importance information on how to get out from “Under” the circumstances of this Pandemic.

What about the dozens of pictures the Mayor shared regarding upcoming commercial developments?  We are getting a much-needed Bike Shop.  Speakers included Lodi Police Chief Sierra Brucia, Adventist Health Lodi Memorial President Daniel Wolcott, and Mayor Doug Kuehne. The Police Chief explained how the “8 Can’t Wait” Plan- how it keeps the rule of law in play, but also treats all people with respect and dignity. Departing Hospital President, Daniel Wolcott, shared stories of the hospital during those trying days when the COVID ward was filled and growing.

The Chamber says once again THANK YOU to our 2020 sponsors of the event, we could not have done this event without them.  They are all leading businesses in their industries, and critical to the success of Lodi.
