Message from the President & CEO
I hope by the time you read this the skies have cleared, and the temperature has dropped to a point where a hint of Fall is in the air. As I write this it is another 100-degree forecast. I want this year to be in the rear-view mirror sooner than later.
But better days are coming. In fact, they have already started in many businesses through creativity, boldness and pivoting from normal operations. We are working on some stories to share at the upcoming Mayors State of the City Address. You may recall the Chamber produces that event in partnership with the outgoing Mayor, this year Mayor Doug Kuehne. No breakfast this year, but the event will be live streamed for you to watch from your phone, laptop, or home computer. I can promise it will be uplifting and a tad inspirational. Lodi has a lot going on now!
The event’s theme is “Lodi Business Coming Back Strong in 2021!” We can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt there are exciting things happening now and others revving up for a 2021 launch. In fact, we will be recognizing those businesses that have got out from under their COVID circumstances finding new ways with new products, services, or profitable pivots. If you have done that anything like that, I want to hear your story and brag on you to the hundreds of people in Lodi that will be tuning into the virtual event. MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW! Thursday, November 5 at 9 AM. More details to follow.
Also be sure to check out the Chamber's candidate endorsement list, as well as our Government Relations Committee’s positions on the Propositions. Whatever you do remember NO on 15!
