Father's Day is a very celebratory event in our house- as I am sure it is with all of our staff here at the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce. Reflecting on this upcoming holiday, I am extremely lucky to have my Dad in my life- he is kind, generous to a fault, outgoing, hard-working, and would do anything for his family. He set the precedent for what a "Father" is and should be, and I completely recognize my privilege for having him as my Dad. However, there are MANY forms of "Fathers" in this world. Whether it's a step-father who's raised you, a single mother who plays BOTH roles (to which we applaud whole-heartedly), the man who's CHOSEN to be a dad through adoption or fostering, a grandfather who fills the role of "Dad" to his grandchildren- each and every one of these people deserve to be celebrated on Father's Day. And sometimes, we might have a hard time showing our appreciation for these wonderful Fathers in our lives. While a simple card or recognition with "Happy Father's Day" goes a long way, we have put together a list of ideas for presents, experiences, or adventures you can gift your Dad!
